sad update Jun 30, 2009

Today when I went to fly my birds, I discovered one of my best ones dead on the floor of the kit box. I loved that bird - he was a good bird, he was dark red, and in the sunlight his feathers were a shiny irridescent violet color. I cried when I buried him tonight. And I hope it was just a fluke - that none of the others will die.

Good night, pretty bird. Sleep tight, pretty bird. Momma loved you. That's right, pretty bird.
R.I.P. pretty pigeon.

I should mention that the rest of the birds flew very well tonight and made me proud. A bittersweet evening.

rain rain go away Jun 24, 2009

It has been raining for days here. I like that it makes my flowers grow, but enough already!

It never used to bother me but lately I find that the weather really affects my mood. When it's cold, damp, and soggy I feel cranky and tired. But when the sun comes out I feel much better.

Someone I once knew had a theory that cloudy weather is drawn to places with large populations of depressed people and sunny weather follows the people with happy dispositions. I think he was a little crazy, but there may be something to it, who knows?

For the umpteenth time...where are you, mister sun?? I'm tired of being cranky!

Some jerk hit me on the way to work last week. Damage was just enough to be annoying. So...I'm driving a rental that I hate. At first I was psyched it is brand new and has xm radio but that got boring pretty fast. Seriously, do we really need more than one "All Elvis" channel? Or six 80's channels, differentiated only by genre?
I still prefer AM 740 over any of it.

Anyway my car was supposed to be ready today but nobody is returning my calls.

And that's my cranky rant for the month.
